Furnace and heater installation and maintenance in the Yakima Valley

Residential and commercial heating work from CP Mechanical, with an inspection of what you already have before anyone talks about replacing it.

Chapter 01

What a failing furnace looks like before it quits

The Yakima Valley is known for 300 days of sunshine a year, and that is exactly why a furnace gets forgotten. It sits quiet from spring through September, then has to carry the house on the first hard freeze of the year. That is when the problems that built up over a quiet summer show themselves, usually at the least convenient hour.

The signs we hear about most are a system that runs but never quite catches up with the thermostat, a unit that starts and stops over and over, rooms in the same house that feel nothing alike, and a heating bill that climbs without any change in how you live. A dirty filter, a worn part and a poorly matched system can all look the same from the living room, which is why guessing is expensive.

We work on furnaces, heat pumps and other heating systems, and our technicians are trained on all models. Whether it is a house in Selah, a shop in Wapato or a small office in Toppenish, the first job is the same: find out what is actually wrong before anyone suggests a bigger bill.

Inspect first, estimate second, install only if it earns it

Every heating job starts with an inspection of your existing system. We look at what is there, how it has been treated and how it is performing, then tell you in plain words whether it is worth keeping running. If the answer is a repair or a tune-up, that is what we recommend.

When a replacement is the honest answer, you get a fast, free estimate with the number up front. We install heaters and furnaces for homes and for businesses, and we are straight about the choices in front of you. Easy payment plans and financing are available through Synchrony, so a furnace that dies in January does not have to be a cash emergency.

The crew that shows up works for CP Mechanical. The office is at 12 S 6th Ave in Yakima, and the phone number on the sticker we leave on the unit is the same one you call to book: (509) 426-2069.

Chapter 03

Keeping a furnace honest with an annual visit

Annual maintenance is the cheapest way to avoid a no-heat call. A visit covers regular inspection, cleaning and a tune-up, so small wear is caught while it is still a small job. It also tends to keep energy costs in check and helps the equipment last longer.

Look at the Coleman gas furnace in the photo above: our dated CP Mechanical sticker sits on the door, with a ruled table for the date and the service performed. Later visits have room on that log, so the next technician, or the next owner, can see what was done and when.

Ask us about extended warranty options when you book an install, and ask what a maintenance visit includes for your particular system. We serve Yakima, Wapato, Toppenish, Selah, Naches, Moxee, White Swan, Cowiche, Sunnyside, Granger and Zillah. Call before the cold arrives, not after.
