Air conditioning

Central and ductless

Ductless & central AC installation and maintenance

A new air conditioner starts with a load calculation, so the system is sized for the building and not guessed at. Then the work is done properly: ductwork, air handler, outdoor condenser, thermostat, and a performance test before we call it finished.

  • Load calculation and system sizing
  • New ductwork or ductwork modifications
  • Air handler and outdoor condenser installation
  • Thermostat installation, standard or smart
  • System inspection and performance testing

Seasonal maintenance covers

  • Air filter replacement
  • Evaporator and condenser coil cleaning
  • Refrigerant pressure checks
  • Electrical system inspection
  • Blower and fan performance checks
  • Thermostat calibration

Mini-splits

Single and multi-zone

Mini-split AC installation and maintenance

Ductless units are more and more popular in the Yakima Valley as homeowners find there are more efficient and greener cooling systems for older homes. An install runs in five steps.

  1. 1. AssessmentWe look at the space and what you want the system to do.
  2. 2. PlanningSingle-room and multi-zone units, laid out before anything is mounted.
  3. 3. Indoor unitsHeads mounted on the wall where they will move air properly.
  4. 4. Outdoor unitThe condenser placed on its pad or mount.
  5. 5. ConnectionsRefrigerant and electrical connections made and checked.

Maintenance is simple and worth doing: clean or replace the air filters, keep the outdoor unit clear, inspect and clean the indoor coils, and check refrigerant levels.

Residential AC repair

Clanging sounds, squeaky noises, leaky units, constant stopping and starting, too hot, too cold. We fix no-cooling and weak airflow, frozen evaporator coils, thermostat malfunctions, blower motor and fan failures, refrigerant leaks and electrical faults. For emergency or more immediate service, call (509) 426-2069.

AC repair

Central HVAC installation and maintenance

Installation, replacement and maintenance of central heating, ventilation and air conditioning, residential and commercial. Replacement is worth a conversation when the system is more than 15 years old, you pay for repairs every year, or your energy bill suddenly spikes. We repair first whenever repair makes sense.

Central HVAC

Heat pump installation and repair

Residential and commercial heat pump installation and repair, with inspections and estimates. We look into poor heating or cooling performance, unresponsive controls, frequent cycling on and off, and leaking refrigerant. Heat pumps last an average of 15 to 20 years, depending on the model and maintenance.

Heat pumps

Electrical services

Residential and commercial: new construction and system upgrades, lighting design and installation, equipment wiring and dedicated circuits, surge protection and grounding, electrical panel upgrades and troubleshooting. Emergency calls for power outages, sparking panels and tripped breakers.
